Sika® Separol®-320 WS

Economical water based mold release agent

Sika® Separol®-320 WS is a ready to use, solvent free concrete release agent. It is an emulsion, water based. Suitable for use in hot and tropical climatic conditions.

Sika® Separol®-320 WS has the following characteristics: - Low viscous
- Excellent 'sticking' ability on vertical mould surfaces
- Self leveling after spray application
- High pore suppressing
- No combustible vapor
- Safe for the operatives to handle.    This provides the following advantages:
- Easy and precise separation of the formwork from the hardened concrete
- High quality surface finish
- No reduction of the concrete quality at the surface - Protection of formwork from steel corrosion and early ageing

Usage

Sika® Separol®-320 WS can be applied on sites and in precast plants. It has been specially developed for use on:
- Smooth non-absorbent formwork
- Absorbent formwork
- Heated formwork (up to 70 °C)
- Textured formwork

Storage conditions

12 months from date of production if stored properly in original, unopened, undamaged packaging. Protect from frost, direct sunlight and contamination. Opened units should be stored closed.

Sika® Separol®-320 WS yields and efficiency depend on application circumstances and used formwork, of up to 140 m2/kg for non absorbent formwork (e.g. steel or plastic).
Application steps

APPLICATION

Before application of Sika® Separol®-320 WS, the mould should be dry and clean.

Any residues of rust and concrete must be removed.

Sika® Separol®-320 WS is applied in thin, uniform layers having a fine, white dotted appearance, covering the complete surface (an additional application may be necessary in case of highly absorbent formwork).

We recommend the use of a special spray gun with an operating pressure of 3-6 bar and a flat spraying nozzle (01 F 110 i.e. 652.307 or 652.245).

Accumulation of Sika® Separol®-320 WS should be avoided. Any excess should be wiped off using a cloth or sponge.

After application, an evaporation period of 20 minutes at +20°C should be observed.

Before concreting preliminary tests are recommended to optimize the procedure for each project.
