Sika® Stabilizer-312 MBF

HYBRID POLYMER ADMIXTURE FOR MINE BACKFILL

Sika® Stabilizer-312 MBF is a high-range superplasticizer and water reducing admixture used by the mining industry to improve the performance of cemented paste fills in underground backfill operations. Hybrid polymer admixture for improving cementitious mining backfill mixes with high performance in plasticizing, water-reducing and rheology enhancing properties.

Usage

Sika® Stabilizer-312 MBF can be used in mining to:
▪ Enhance workability of the paste fill ▪ Reduce water and increase solid content of the cemented paste fill ▪ Improve rheological properties to facilitate mixing and pumping, and increase backfill throughput
▪ Reduce pumping and line pressure within the reticulation system
▪ Improve in-situ compressive strengths at the final stage
▪ Reduce costs by reducing binder content (cement, slag, fly ash)

Shelf life

12 months from date of production if stored properly

Storage conditions

This product must be stored in original, unopenned and undamaged packaging in dry conditions as temperatures between +10 °C and +35 °C (50 °F and 95 °F). Always refer to packaging.

Recommended dosage

The normal dosage range of the admixture is 200–800 ml/ton of total backfill (wet ton).
Dose rates outside the recommended may be used following trial mixes depending on the mix design, raw materials, climatic conditions and backfill requirements. Trial mixes must be performed to establish the exact dosage rate required.
