SikaPaver® HC-120

HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPACTION AID FOR SEMI-DRY CONCRETE PRODUCTS

SikaPaver® HC-120 is a high performance filling and compaction aid which has been designed to eliminate the stickiness of semi-dry concretes at elevated water-cement ratios. The resulting granular concrete leads to an even mold filling and less quality fluctuations while ensuring the targeted concrete compaction.

SikaPaver® HC-120 has been designed especially for the application in semi-dry concrete and causes:
  • Granular mold-filling properties despite elevated water contents
  • Even concrete distribution into the individual chambers across the compaction mold
  • Less quality variations and consequently less second grade products
  • Better durability
SikaPaver® HC-120 improves the dispersion and wetting of cement, additives and pigments and hence allows reaching the target density in shorter time or the reduction of pore content at the same compaction effort.

Shelf life

12 months from date of production if stored properly in original, unopened packaging.

Storage conditions

Store in undamaged, unopened, original sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +45 °C. Protect from direct sunlight and frost.

Application Information

Dispensing

SikaPaver® HC-120 shall be introduced at the end of the mixing process to ensure its uniform distribution. The necessary mixing time after the admixture dosage depends on the individual mixer.

 

Compatibility

Before use suitability tests must be performed.
Sufficient compaction of base and face concrete while in parallel avoinding capillary porosity is essential to ensure the targeted performance parameters of the manufactured semi-dry concrete elements. For further information and advice, please contact our Technical Service Department.
The use of SikaPaver® HC-120 in wet cast concrete is not suitable.
