SikaWall®-6070 Art Finish

ACRYLIC POLYMER BASED FINISH COAT

SikaWall®-6070 Art Finish is factory-mixed, acrylic polymer based finish coat available in different gradings to acheive different surface textured appearances. Suitable for use in hot and tropical climatic conditions.  Note: For illustrative purpose only.  

  • Enables the creation of varied and unique roller textured surfaces, through variations in product filler grading, application equipment and controlled application techniques.
  • Long-term durability
  • Weather resistant - repels water and resists winddriven rain

Usage

  • Provides an aesthetical finishing surface, colour and texture for the Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS).
  • Can also be utilized as a textured coating for poured concrete or unit masonry, veneer plaster or gypsum board (interior applications only), conventional stucco and certain insulating concrete forms. 
  • Not recommended for “smooth” applications

Storage conditions

Store in unopened, undamaged and sealed original packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C. Protect from direct sun-light, heat and moisture.

Consumption

Consumption

Consumption varies depending on the chosen type of surface texture and roller grading. It is recommended to apply a test area to determine actual material consumption, which depends on product filler grading, application tools, equipment and application technique.
Application steps

MIXING

  • Stir the factory-prepared SikaWall®-6070 Art Finish with a mixer until uniformly blended.
  • A small amount of clean, potable water may be added to adjust workability.
  • Additives are not permitted.
  • Close and seal the container when not in use.

APPLICATION

  • Apply SikaWall®-6070 Art Finish directly to SikaWall®-15 Tinted Primer AE with a clean, textured roller.
  • Apply in 2 coats, when first coat is touch-dry (approx. after 3 hours at 23 °C), apply the second coat by working it well into the first coat gaps to maximize the hiding capability.
  • Maintain a wet edge on SikaWall®-6070 Art Finish by applying and texturing continually over the wall surface.
  • Work SikaWall®-6070 Art Finish to corners, joints or other natural breaks and do not allow material to set up within an uninterrupted wall area.
  • Roll the SikaWall®-6070 Art Finish with texture roller, applicable for chosen appearance (Fine, Medium or Coarse), to achieve final required texture.

     

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools and application equipment with soap and clean water immediately after use. Hardened / cured material can only be removed mechanically.
