ACRYLIC POLYMER BASED FINISH COAT

SikaWall®-6090 Sahara Finish is factory-mixed, acrylic polymer based finish coat which provides a uniform “pebble” appearance. Suitable for use in hot and tropical climatic conditions. Note: For illustrative purposes only

Usage

  • Provides an aesthetically pleasing surface colour and texture for the Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS).
  • Can also be utilized as a textured finish for poured concrete or unit masonry, conventional stucco, certain insulating concrete forms and interior veneer plaster or gypsum board (interior application only).

Storage conditions

Store in undamaged, original sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C. Protect from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.

Note: These figures are theoretical when applied on primed SikaWall®-1030 Alpha Dry Base Coat and does not allow for any additional material due to surface porosity, surface profile, variations in level and wastage etc.
Application steps

MIXING

  • Stir the factory-prepared SikaWall®-6090 Sahara Finish with a mixer until uniformly blended.
  • A small amount of clean, potable water may be added to adjust workability.
  • Additives are not permitted.
  • Close and seal the container when not in use.

APPLICATION

  • Apply SikaWall®-6090 Sahara Finish directly to the SikaWall®-15 Tinted Primer AE with a clean, stainless steel trowel.
  • Apply and level SikaWall®-6090 Sahara Finish during the same operation to minimum obtainable thickness consistent with uniform coverage.
  • Maintain a wet edge on SikaWall®-6090 Sahara Finish by applying and texturing continually over the wall surface.
  • Work SikaWall®-6090 Sahara Finish to corners, joints or other natural breaks and do not allow material to set up within an uninterrupted wall area.
  • Float SikaWall®-6090 Sahara Finish to achieve final texture.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools and application equipment with soap and clean water immediately after use. Hardened / cured material can only be removed mechanically.
