SikaInject®-630

Solvent-Free, Low-Viscosity, Colliodal Silica Injection Grout

SikaInject®-630 is a one-component injection system, based on a nanometric colloidal silica suspension of primary, discrete particles. It is a non-foaming product and contains neither solvents nor toxic components.

Storage conditions

Store in unopened, tightly closed original containers. Keep them dry and in a temperature range of +5 to +35 °C. Protect from frost and sunlight.

Gel time

SikaInject®-630 is produced in three different facilities worldwide:

  • SikaInject®-630 = Sweden

  • SikaInject®-630 US = USA

  • SikaInject®-630 AP = Taiwan

It is important to establish which product you have been supplied to choose the correct CAT dosage for a given gel time. The gel time may be adjusted by varying the quantity of CAT added to Part A. It can be adjusted between 10 minutes and several hours as indicated in Gel-Time Chart. For long gel time, the temperature will have a big influence.

Site tests are recommended.

Application steps

APPLICATION

Add CAT to Part A at the required ratio. Stirr Part A continuously during the addition of CAT, and fully pre-mix prior to pumping. The mixture of SikaInject®-630 and the CAT is workable between +5°C and +40°C. Pump with a 1-component pump, such as a cement grout injection pump, through an injection packer system into the strata. For slow migration into sand and gravels, a worm pump may also be considered. SikaInject®-630 and CAT can also be injected using a 2-component pump. In this case, a static in-line mixer is necessary to achieve a good mixing of the two components.To achieve controlled, targeted injection into sands and gravels, use double packers within manchette-injection-tubes (often “TAMs” or “SPPs”) with port centers dependent on the fineness of soils, and degree of stabilization required.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
