SikaCeram® WP Tape

(former MTile WP Tape)

SPECIAL WATERPROOFING TAPES / GASKET SYSTEM FOR CORNERS AND PERIMETER JOINTS, PIPE CULVERTS AND DRAINS

SikaCeram® WP Tape is a special polypropylene non-woven tape that is designed to reinforce and waterproof joints, corners, covers, angles, changes of plane, pipe penetrations and changes in material, as part of the Sikalastic® WP 668 waterproofing system.

  • Thin, non-woven, high-tenacity reinforcing tape
  • Crack-bridging, high security when cracks in the substrates form at a later stage
  • Waterproof and resistant to frost, all-purpose use
  • Resistant to ageing, insensitive to environmental influences

Usage

  • For walls and floors
  • For wet areas with non pressurised water, e.g. shower area
  • Suitable to be used in residential buildings, hotels, old peoples homes and hospitals
  • For embedding in the waterproof coatings, e.g. Sikalastic® WP 668

Application

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Follow the requirements for substrate preparation of the Sikalastic® WP 668.

APPLICATION

  • In the connection area floor/wall and/or wall/wall apply Sikalastic® WP 668 in a width of approx. 10 - 15 cm by brush or trowel, on each side of the joint (total 20 - 30 cm).
  • Press Sikalastic® WP 668 into the wet waterproofing material. Do not use sharp-edged tools.
  • When applying the waterproofing material to the entire area, insure that SikaCeram® WP Tape is fully covered.
