Air entraining/plasticizing admixture for mortars and renders

Usage

SikaCem®-100 MP is used as a plasticizer and workability improver for all types of cement / sand mortar mix designs used for:
  • Brick / block bedding mortars
  • Renders
  • Pointing mortars

Mortar Mix Design

When using SikaCem®-100 MP a suitable mortar mix must be designed for the local material sources to the project specification and should be trialed.

Consumption

Recommended Dosage

0.3 - 0.7 % by weight of cement (0.15 - 0.35 L /50 kg cement).
Dosages outside of this range may be required depending on the mix design, raw materials, climatic conditions and mortar requirements.
Trial mixes must be performed to establish the exact dosage rate required.
Application steps

MIXING

SikaCem®-100 MP is best added to the gauging water or simultaneously poured with it into the mixer.
If SikaCem®-100 MP is added directly to the dry mix an increased dosage may be required.
For optimum utilization of the plasticizing action we recommend thorough mixing at a minimum wet mixing time of 2 - 3 minutes.
