Sika® Stabilizer-10 ME

(former MasterCell® 10ME)

A liquid admixture for the production of lightweight concrete

Sika® Stabilizer-10 ME is a ready to use liquid foaming agent which is used to produce lightweight foam concrete for a variety of insulation and construction applications.
Lightweight concrete produced using Sika® Stabilizer-10 ME has a very fine cellular structure and optimum workability for a given water cement ratio. This
combination offers lower materials weight per unit volume, and therefore a lower deadload imposed on the structure. Reductions in heat conductivity will also be achieved. Suitable for use in hot and tropical climatic conditions.

  • Safe introduction of air pores up to 35%
  • Dry density of ~800–1,600 kg/m3 in combination with lightweight aggregates.
  • Stable air content before and after placing of the concrete.
  • Conveyance of lightweight concrete with concrete pump is possible.

Usage

  • As thermal insulation
    Plastic density ~ 1000kg/m³
    Lightweight foam concrete produced using Sika® Stabilizer-10 ME is particularly suitable as a light, insulating, levelling layer on roofs and floors.
 
  • As encasement concrete
    Plastic density ~ 600kg/m³
    Pipes can be encased with lightweight foam concrete produced using Sika® Stabilizer-10 ME and held in place.
  • As backfill concrete
    Plastic density ~ 1350kg/m³
    Concrete produced using Sika® Stabilizer-10 ME may be easily applied and does not require compaction.

Storage conditions

Store in undamaged, unopened, original sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +10°C and +50°C. Protect from direct sunlight and frost.

The foam dosage can be regulated by adding the foam produced by the foam gun in a given time, to achieve a certain density.

Consumption

Recommended dosage

Using the compact foam generator (which operates using a 2 bar water source), the required volume of foam is produced in a short time.

1 litre of Sika® Stabilizer-10 ME is needed per minute.

With a water pressure of 2 bar, each second, 11 litres of foam are produced: 660 litres of foam per minute are produced.
26 litres of water are consumed per minute.
