Storage conditions

Store in undamaged, unopened, original sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +45 °C. Mix well before use.

Technical Information

Concreting guidance

The standard rules of good concreting practice for production and placing must be observed when using Sika® Plastiment® PZ 25 LD in concrete. Refer to relevant standards. Fresh concrete must be cured properly especially at high temperatures in order to prevent plastic and drying shrinkage. Use Sika® Antisol® products as a curing agent or apply wet hessian.

Compatibility

Sika® Plastiment® PZ 25 LD is suitable for mixes containing all types of cement and supplementary cementitious materials such as: Microsilica (Silica Fume), Fly Ash (PFA), GGBS (Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag) and the following Sika products:

We recommend to perform trial mixes to establish the required performance when combining Sika® Plastiment® PZ 25 LD with the above products or other admixtures. Please consult our Sika Technical Department for further assistance.

Dispensing

Sika® Plastiment® PZ 25 LD is added to the gauging water or simultaneously poured with it into the concrete mixer at the batching plant. Do not
add Sika® Plastiment® PZ 25 LD directly to the dry mix. The addition of the remaining gauging water (to fine tune concrete consistency) may only
be started after two-thirds of the wet mixing time to avoid surplus water in the concrete.
Consumption

Recommended dosage

Trials should be conducted to determine the optimum addition rates of Sika® Plastiment® PZ 25 LD, depending on mix design proposed and mix performance requirements. As a general guide, a dosage range of 200 ml to 600 ml per 100 kg of total binder is recommended as a starting point. Depending on the desired properties, a dosage of up to 1000 ml per 100 kg of total binder shall be used.
