Application
Ambient air temperature
+5°C min. / +35°C max.
Relative air humidity
80 % max.
Dew point
Beware of condensation!
The substrate and uncured floor must be at least 3°C above dew point to reduce the risk of condensation or blooming on the floor finish.
Pot Life
~50 min. at 25°C
Curing time
Foot traffic: ~48 hours at 25°C (initial cure)
Time is approximate and will be affected by changing ambient conditions, particularly temperature and relative humidity. Refer to PDS of relevant base coat for more information.
Tack free time
~2 hours at 25°C
Time is approximate and will be affected by changing ambient conditions, particularly temperature and relative humidity.
Consumption
From 0.4 - 0.6 kg/m2, single coat only, depending on the system, surface profile (roughness), exposure and area of application.
Note: These figures are theoretical and do not include for any additional material required due to surface porosity, surface profile, variations in
level and wastage, etc..
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
MIXING
Mix full units only. Prior to mixing, stir part A mechanically. When all of part B has been added to part A, mix together using a slow speed (400 rpm) drill with a spiral mixing head, continuously for 3 minutes until a uniform mix has been achieved. Work the mixer round the mixing pail to ensure it scrapes the side and bottom of the pail. To ensure thorough mixing pour materials into another container and mix again for 30 seconds to achieve a consistent mix. Over-mixing must be avoided to minimise air entrainment.
APPLICATION
Prior to application, confirm substrate moisture content, relative humidity and dew point. As a seal coat, the product can be applied by roller or squeegee and then back-rolled (crosswise) with a short-piled roller. Apply a single coat or as a multi coat sandwich system incorporating aggregates to give a slip resistant finish. When applying as a top coat or part of a multi coat system, do not exceed the maximum overcoating
times of the previous coating.
CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT
Clean all tools and application equipment with suitable thinner (Xylene / MEK / Acetone), immediately after use. Hardened and/or cured material can only be removed mechanically.
