SikaWall®-115 Render

CEMENTITIOUS READY MIX PLASTER

SikaWall®-115 Render is a cementitious ready mix plaster, to carry out traditional plastering works in a clean and speedy manner, while keeping a homogeneous mix. Due to its high content in additives, it has a better shrinkage control as well as workability and curing. It can be applied by a suitable plastering machine or manually. Suitable for use in hot and tropical climatic conditions.

Usage

SikaWall®-115 Render is recommended for internal and external plastering, ceilings, concrete surfaces, bricks, regular blocks, concrete blocks, etc. and for general filling up.

Storage conditions

Store in dry conditions in original sealed undamaged packaging at temperatures between +5 °C and +35 °C. Protect from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.

Application steps

MIXING

Add water according to the desired consistency and recommended mixing ratio into a clean mixing vessel before slowly adding the SikaWall®-115 Render powder. SikaWall®-115 Render is best mixed in a forced action mixer, for 2 to 3 minutes or until the mix is free of lumps, not longer than 5 minutes. Slow speed drill (maximum 500 rpm) can also be used for mixing. Normal tumble type concrete mixers are not suitable. Do not mix more material than can be placed within the pot life.

Do not add extra water or other ingredients.
Mix only full bags for the best result.

When applied with plastering machine, the water is manually adjusted by the flow meter. Before application, apply test area first, to set up the spray equipment. Do not add excess water during application. Always follow recommended mixing ratio.

Do not re-use hardened material.

 

APPLICATION

  • The plaster is now ready for application by machine or manually with a plastering trowel. Apply the plaster on the prepared surface at a thickness between 10 and 20 mm in one layer.
  • Finish the surface with a soft synthetic sponge and a steel float.
  • Let the product set properly on the surface before any curing.
  • If more thickness is required, the application should be done in 2 layers. First layer should be left rough. Cure the first layer. Apply the second layer at least 48 hrs after the first one.

CURING

  • Protect the new surface applied from sunshine and wind.
  • The new plaster has to be cured with water for at least three days by spraying 3 to 4 times daily.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Application and mixing tools should be cleaned with water while the material is still fresh. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
