SikaInject®-232

Single component, flexible PU-Injection Resin

SikaInject®-232 is a Single component hydrophilic injection resin which forms an impermeable flexible seal.

  • SikaInject®-232 does not require the addition of a “reactor” to activate the material
  • Cures to form a flexible and impermeable seal where further limited movement of the concrete is anticipated
  • Reacts under wet / damp conditions and foams upon contact with water
  • Good bonding to damp / wet surfaces, permanent sealing
  • Low viscosity – allows penetration of fine cracks
  • Does not contain toxic TDI
  • Low shrinkage compared to TDI based injection sealing products

Usage

  • Permanent crack sealing of below ground structures such as tunnels, shafts, basements and underpasses.
  • Stopping of minor water seepage.
  • Can be injected after SikaInject®-233 in cracks where higher water flows occur.
  • Injection through hose-systems (one time injection), such as SikaFuko®.

Application steps

EQUIPMENT

Use injection pumps suitable for single part injection products.

 

APPLICATION

Pump SikaInject®-232 through packers using a manual or a powered 1-C injection pump. Decant the amount of resin required from the unit and close the lid tightly. Frequent exposure to humidity and moisture may cause some skinning on the surface, in the unit. Remove skin before decanting additional resin.
The reaction time is affected by both temperature and relative humidity. In conditions of high relative humidity there may be material “skinning” within the pump hopper. Ensure that this skin is removed during the pumping process, do not allow the skin to be drawn into the pump.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Clean all tools and application equipment as soon as possible and in accordance the Product Data Sheet for the Sika® Injection Cleaning System.
Alternatively Sika® Colma Cleaner can be used to remove any polyurethane residue immediately after use. Do not leave Sika® Colma Cleaner in the injection pump. Hardened / cured material can only be removed mechanically.
