Yield
One 28 kg kit will yield ~21.53 L and should cover ~16.16 m² for a 1.2 mm Dry Film Thickness (DFT).
These figures are theoretical and do not allow for any additional material due to surface porosity, surface profile, variations in level and wastage etc.
SUBSTRATE QUALITY
- The substrate should be smooth, clean, and free of laitance, grease, oils and standing water.
- Repairs to the substrate, filling of joints, blowholes/voids and surface leveling must be carried out using the appropriate Sika® products. Refer to Sika’s Technical Department for further advice.
MIXING
- Mix using an electric single or double paddle mixer and stirrer (300–400 rpm) or other similar equipment.
- The mixing should be carried out in a separate container.
- Part B should be poured in the separate container and Part A should be added while stirring/agitating the Part B.
- Mix Part A + B continuously for 2,0 minutes until a uniformly coloured mix has been achieved.
APPLICATION
- Strictly follow installation procedures as defined in method statements, application manuals and working instructions which must always be adjusted to the actual site conditions.
- Thickness of coated film: In below ground structures and wet areas it should not be less than 1.2 mm DFT.
- Where a superior performance is required the material can be reinforced with a layer of woven glass fiber mesh, coats encapsulating the mesh should be min 1 mm DFT.
- All liquid applications should be applied in at least two coats to achieve the desired thickness.
- For vertical applications at high temperatures, additional fibres may be required.
- Please contact Sika® Technical Services Department for assistance.
CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT
Clean all tools and application equipment with Thinner C after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
