~1.6 kg/m²/mm (min. application thickness required: 2 mm)
Note: Consumption data is theoretical and does not allow for any additional material due to surface porosity, surface profile, variations in level, wastage or any other variations. Apply product to a test area to calculate the exact consumption for the specific substrate conditions and proposed application equipment.
Yield
~20.5 liters per 25 kg bag
NOTES ON INSTALLATION
Strictly follow installation procedures as defined in method statements, application manuals and working instructions which must always be adjusted to the actual site conditions.
SUBSTRATE QUALITY
When designing the waterproofing system, make sure that the supporting structure has sufficient structural strength to support all new and existing layers of the system build-up.
The substrate must be free of any sharp protrusion or burrs, clean, free of grease, laitance, oil and loosely adhering particles.
MIXING
IMPORTANT
Over addition of water:
Do not add more than the prescribed addition of water to the powder. Over addition of water affects the Product's finished mechanical performance.
|
|
- Pour the minimum amount of water into a suitable clean mixing container.
- While mixing gradually add the powder.
- Mix continuously for at least 2 minutes to achieve a uniform mix. If necessary, add more water up to the maximum permissible amount to achieve the required consistency.
- Leave to stand for 2 minutes.
- Mix for a further 1 minute.
APPLICATION
- Saturate the substrate with clean water.
- Apply with steel trowel the mixed Product onto the saturated substrate. DO NOT APPLY SikaProof® Adhesive-03 AE onto dry substrate.
- Spread the Product evenly using a 4-5 mm notched trowel.
- Immediately apply the membrane while the adhesive is still wet. Refer to the current membrane Product Data Sheet for further application advice.
CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT
Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
