Different cement types (Type ICo, Type HS, Type GU and Type I) are commercialized in various provinces of the country through authorized distributors, having continuously growth in their market share. This cement producer required additives to improve the cement grinding process, actin gas quality improvers and trying to increase in strengths at all ages.

Sika Solutions

Under coordination of the R&D team of Caliza Cemento Inca, and as thiscompany was the first to use these additives in Peru, several laboratoryand plant trials were carried out with a wide range of quality improversfrom the SikaGrind® range. It was concluded that the product SikaGrind®-720 fulfilled the followingexpectations: increasing the strength in 10 to 15% (at all ages) and allowingthe use of secondary cementitious materials. Additionally, the cementproduction rate was increased.Sika started continuous bulk supply to the cement plant in 2014 andafter few years an improved product was developed: SikaGrind®-740.This product, dosed at around 500 g/ton of cement, is a highly efficientliquid cement additive used to facilitate the grinding process and improvethe quality of the final cement.
