S/A Bridges BR 101/5C Highway

Arteris is one of the largest companies in the Brazilian road concessions sector, with more than 3,200 kilometers of management. Through its concessionaires, Arteris manages the roads located in the states of Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina and Paraná, the most important economic and industrial axis in the country.

The company is responsible for the operation of five federal concessionaires: Fernao Dias, Fluminense, Litoral Sul, Planalto Sul and Régis Bittencourt.

It also has two state concessionaires operating in the interior of Sao Paulo: Intervias and ViaPaulista. The company also has control over the Latin Maintenance, which provides internal services for construction, signaling and conservation management.

BR 101/SC is one of the main routes that make up the stretch known as Mercosul corridor, which covers 23 municipalities in its road network and has an extension of 356,6 kilometers. The BR 376/PR and BR 101/SC highways are the main link between Curitiba and the entire Santa Catarina coast, and have become an important instrument for the industrial and tourist development of the region.

In October 2019, the Sika team began receiving applications for commercial proposals from different companies – due to the bidding process of the Arteris Concessionaire for the implementation of one of the largest structural reinforcement projects in the country, reinforcing the structures of the bridges located on the BR 101/SC highway.

For the execution of this reinforcement project, there were more than 20 tons of epoxy adhesive and approximately 35 kilometers of carbon fiber plates and 5,000 square meters of carbon fiber fabrics.

The key points for the conquest of Sika in this project were the prompt service to the client’s needs, the excellent support to the specialized applicator with theoretical and practical training, and the excellent commercial development of the team.
